Audio Systems: Amps and Speakers, sony cdx m800, power amp

Question
I currently have two alpine SPS-100As in my dash, and two SPS-690As in my rear deck. I just upgraded my headunit to a sony CDX-M800, and im still not satisfied with the sound quality from the back. Should I amplify all four of them with the Alpine MRP-F240 or find a different amp for just the back two. If I do amp them all, will the 40w rms from the amp cause damage to my front speakers? They only are rated for 25w rms.

thanks!
George

by the way i drive a 97 galant DE

Answer
Question 1
Amplify them all.

Question 2
It is possible.. but that does mean it cannot work safely.
*It is easier to damage speakers with too little power by clipping the power amp while trying to get them louder/better sounding.

Of course you should be able to use the amps' input level trims to 'detune' (reduce the power to ) the front speakers.
