Audio Systems: hooking up car stereo in house, pioneer car stereo, single cd player

Question
I have a Pioneer car stereo with a single CD player (DEH-P3500) that I would like to install in a wall in the garage.  What do I need to do to get this to work?

I have installed a car stereo in a car before, but that is the extent of my wiring experience.  I have read a few posts on ecoustics.com on how to convert power, but I just want to keep the system as simple as possible.

I am looking for simple instructions on how to set-up and install the car stereo in the garage wall.  A list of parts that I will need would also be great.

Thanks for the help.

Answer
The simple answer is to get a 12vDC power supply (rated at 2+ amperes), an antenna, a couple of speakers and some wire. Route these to your radio.

As long as you do not try to use more power than the power supply can deliver, you should have minimal problems. In other words, be careful how much you crank up the volume or you may damage the power supply.

Some people  are using used PC power supplys for this and if you have been to ecoustics, I am sure you have read the threads on those. If you have not, you may want to read them. Personally, I would not use one of those.
