Audio Systems: car radio problem, bench test, radio problem

Hello: Jerry recc. that I ask you a question. I have a 2001 Disco 2 Land rover with an alpine steroe. It had a sunroof leak, and the radio got wet. it has not come on since then. i am looking to remove it and bench test it, but i do not know what that is or how to do it. He thinks you may be able to walk me through the process. I am dying to figure out if this radio is salvageable or not, but I can't figure out the problem./ Thanks.

Once you have the stereo out of the dash you will need to use an X10 magnifier to go over both sides of the circuit board. You should pay close attention to the pins on the audio output amps for any corrosion build up. The area that may have corroded first was the power input area near the power/speaker connector.
