Nissan Repair: brakes, 2004 nissan xterra, nissan xterra

Question
how do i remove the front rotors on my 2004 nissan xterra 4x4?

Answer
Erik,

You have to remove the torque member that the caliper holds to and the 4X4 hub cap and actuator to get the rotor off.  A Haynes Manual or a factory service manual are quite descriptive for diagrams and photographs.  A clean area to lay the parts out, in order, is really helpful.  That way you know what order they go back on.  And, do one side at a time to as a precaution.
