Audio Systems: 97 Camry radio problem, metal antenna, radio problem

Question
The radio suddenly began not receiving certain stations and to be intermittant on the ones it did receive (related to the car moving). I suspect antennae connections somewhere but I don't know where to begin looking or how to test for bad connection. Can you give me a list of what things to check first? Thank you.

Answer
Lee,
First off, if you have a telescoping or a fixed metal antenna you can test for good connections at the base of the antenna and at the rear of the stereo. If you vehicle has an in glass antenna you will need to check the connector block where the wire connects to the window connections. An ohm meter will help you test to see if the antenna has good continuity from the metal whip to the rear of the stereo.
