Question - My '90 Olds Cutlass Supreme International recently developed an intermittent popping noise in both the left speakers(front and rear)only. The popping sound occurs a few minutes after the radio is turned on and remains at a constant level even if the volume is turned way down. I tried another radio (same model - Delco Radio)and the problem is still there. Have you seen this problem before? what would you suggest.
Thanks.
Answer -
if it is only when the engine is running, it probably is your spark plugs and/or spark plug wires. re ask if it does it with motor off......g........

- Does it even with the engine off.

Answer
wow. that's a tough one, you might check all stereo power wiring to make sure the insulation has'nt been damaged and intermittantly causing bare wire to short to frame, could also be loose connections on front speakers, can't think of anything else right now. check on what i've suggested and get back to me either way, i'll be talking with others to try to find you some kind of fix. sorry i could'nt be more specific, but you have a tough nut to crack......g.......
