Audio Systems: Aux Input, radio transmitters, rf modulators

Question
I have a 98 Corolla. I don't know what kind of stereo it has - it used to belong to my grandmother, so it's whatever the base cheapest model is. It's a tape deck/radio (no CD) with nothing fancy. I want to somehow install an aux input so I can plug my mp3 player into the car speakers. I've tried using a tape adapter and the quality is not very good. I haven't heard too many good things about radio transmitters either. How difficult will this be and what's the best way to go about it?

Answer
Eric,
many newer stereos will have an aux input connector on the rear of the stereo. If the stereo has the aux input you could purchase an adapter for connecting to your mp3 player. As for the RF modulators, I have installed several that have great performance when connected to iPods/mp3 units.
