Audio Systems: cant control cd player, cd mp3 player, pioneer cd

Question
i blew a fuse that goes to my cd player the other day. i replaced the fuse (15A which is correct). and the cd player was good again for 1 day. the next day i start the car and my cd player turns on for 5 seconds, then goes off for good but keeps playing the cd(i cant control anything on the cd player...volume....track...). I took the cd player out and reconnected all the wires and i tried hitting the reset button but it didnt respond to that either. so everytime i turn the car on, cd player illuminates and works fofr only 5 seconds, then it keeps playing without giving me any control over it while looking like its off. its a very expensive(600$) pioneer cd/mp3 player. have any idea? thanks a lot - Jake

Answer
Jake,
Double check the fuse, 15 amp seems way too high! Most likely something failed in the power supply system in the CD player that caused the original fuse to blow. The power supply problem may be effecting the main control processor and this could be why none of the buttons will respond?
