Removal of radio and repair of display for 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix

First off does the stereo still work even though the display doesn't? If so the display power supply may be dead. As for removing the stereo, if the stereo has a trim piece around it the trim may be held on with screws or it could snap/pull away from the dash.
