My car stereo radio stopped working one day while I was driving. I checked the 20 amp fuse. It seems to be OK. I wanted to remove the radio to see if a power line might have disconnected, but I can't access the back of the radio. I looked to see if I could remove the radio, but I can't find screws or whatever to help me remove the unit.
The car is a 1994 Chrysler convertible.

The trim seems to be one piece. Would I use a screw driver to snap the trim loose. There doesn't seem to be screws anywhere. The stereo is included with the air conditioner controls as well. The housing goes from the dash to the console.

Answer -
John,
After you remove the trim around the stereo, it should be held either with two or three screws or plastic clips that you hold down as you pull out on the stereo. When you have the stereo out, give me the model number and I will tell you which two wires should have 12 volts on them so you can check out these lines.

Answer
John,
You may want to purchase the repair book for your vehicle. You can purchase the book at most larger auto parts outlets for about $20. This book will tell you how to remove the dash unit with the AC controls and stereo. It will also show you the locations of the fuses for the stereo.
