Chevrolet Repair: Battery charger needed to turn over engine, battery cables, electrical problem

Question
I have a 1994 S-10 Blazer 4x4 4.3 vortec engine. Battery went bad-replaced. Fuel pump went bad-replaced.  Motor started and ran great. Battery is hot but engine needs battery charger with boost to turn over engine fast enough to try to start. Does not crank at times. Does this sound like a starter dragging or electrical problem?  Thanks

Answer
It could be a defective battery, Defective charging system not charging the battery, or a drain in the system causing battery to go dead.- only if engine will crank normally when charged or jumped.

If still cranks slow when jumped or with a fully charged battery, it could be a defective starter drawing to many amps.

Make sure to check battery cables for being loose, or corroded.
