Can I replace that lamp or is it an integral part of the LCD display?  Thanks again, Doug

Question -
Tom, just installed used Jensen CD310X into my 99 Ford Contour.  Used an adapter harness - all works well, except - Backlight is not on.  I can not see the display, except when cupped and I am squinting, then it is dim.  Is there an additional fuse, lamp or is it contained in the LCD section of the main radio body?  CD310X only has red, yellow, black, blue and blue/black wires other than speakers.  Blue is power ant, blk is ground, yellow is 12v, red is acc on.  Not sure what blue/black is?  Any help would be appreciated, also pointing me in the direction of a user's manual would be nice.  Thanks, Doug.

Doug,
The blue/black wire is most likely the remote on lead for an external amp. The problem with the stereo may be that the small lamp/s that back light the display, have burned out.

Answer
Doug,
The lamps aren't too hard to replace, in some stereos you may have to unsolder the metal shield that holds the display in place and gently lift up the display slightly to remove and replaced the lamps that are soldered to the circuit board.
