Audio Systems: CD Player not working, stock radio, best buy

I just got a 1994 Sable and i bought a wiring harness from Best Buy to change out the stock radio with a Sony CDA-810X.  I connected all the wires correctly, but it wont turn on.  It is getting power, because it will take in and eject CDs, but the actual unit itself wont turn on.  the only wires that i didnt connect are the dimmer positive and the dimmer negative because the sable's harness doesnt have the wires for those.  i have no idea what the problem is, and any help would be greatly appreciated.

make sure that you have both 12 volt sources connected, 12 volt hot at all times(memory-yellow wire) and 12 switched with the key on(main power-red wire) If you do have both of these wires connected, look for a small reset button and press it with the point of an ink pen.
