QuestionHi, I'd like to add a subwoofer to my '96 Cherokee but I'm having trouble deciding on exactly what to buy. I've been looking at Infinity subs but I am partial to Alpine and Pioneer's stuff and I haven't heard much about their subwoofers. I'm looking for something that won't need much tweaking but is in range of what you would consider a "budget" subwoofer. Also, what kind of prefabricated box would be best, for say, a 10" subwoofer? Thanks a lot!
AnswerThese days, most any of those brand names have the potential to make good sounding gear.
As to effective, prefabbed cabinets, I would look into
Q-logic boxes. They make many varieties (sealed, ported, bandpass), just get one that has recommended box volume that will match the speaker you choose.
Do this and you will not be let down.
