Used Cars: USED CAR TAGS, ford f250, car tags

HI ROBERT,
WE  RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2000 FORD F250,THE CAR CAME ORIGANLLY FROM OHIO.THE GUY TRADED IT IN AND HAD TO PURCHASE KY TAGS..WE BOUGHT IT ON2-28-07 AND THE TAGS RUN OUT THIS MONTH..CAN YOU ONLY GET TAGS FOR 2 MONTHS?

I had a similar experience when buying a car toward the end of a year.  The tags are issued in a periodic format.. meaning... for example: april 05-06... and if you have to register for a tag towards the end of that span... you only get a tag for a few months/weeks.... when you update your tag this month - it should be good for a year.
