Audio Systems: Pioneer CD Player, pioneer cd player, antenna wire

Question
I purchased a car with a Pioneer CD in it. The only thing that works on it, is the CD. You can't skip on the CD, you have to listen to the entire CD. When pushing the Band button, it says that the Scan is off and some other features are off. There are a lot of other buttons to choose from, but they all do the same thing...nothing. Some one said it might need an antena adapter, but it has one. Do you think this radio is salvagable, or should I be looking to buy a new one?

Answer
Ty,
If you tune the stereo to a known station and it won't receive you may want to try a new antenna to see if this helps. You can purchase a cheapo antenna at WalMart and pull out the original antenna wire from the rear of the stereo and plug in the test antenna. If after plugging in the test antenna and the stereo still won't receive any stations the stereo will need to be repaired or replaced.
