Car Stereos: removing face plate and install car radio, toyota 4runner, 4runners

i have a 2000 toyota 4runner, do you know how to remove the face plate to remove the factory radi?

Unfortunately, my experience with 2000 4runners specifically is limited.  Most newer Toyotas' dashes are held together using only clips that can be removed, but up until about 1998, I know the 4 runner required removing most of the dash to get the stereo out.  As far as I'm aware, that isn't the case anymore.

www.installdr.com has a PDF with instructions on removing the deck from earlier models, so I'd suggest taking a look at that to at least see if it's in your ballpark.  Alternatively, you can visit your local dealer and simply ask one of the service guys if they can take 2 seconds to explain to you what it takes to get it off; if they're a decent dealership, they'll at least give you some pointers.
