If you are really serious about getting an answer, I will need specific information. :-|
Car make/model/year
Stereo brand name and model #
*If the factory plugin for the radio is still in the vehicle, you can purchase a 'harness adaptor kit' for your sepcific vehicle. These come with the wiring codes and are very easy to use, but if the plugin has been cut off of the cars' wiring, you will need to have it professionally installed.
There are very nearly as many wire codes as there are years/models of cars, so I may not be able to help you even with the specifics :(
Depending on the year and model, I may be able to get you to a more useful answer if the wires are, indeed, cut.
