Audio Systems: delco raio 99 lumina, ac delco radio, premium system

Question -
We have the stock am/fm cass ac delco radio in a 99 Checy Lumina. It turns on but no sound at all. This happened immediately after Firestone changed our tires. Any ideas?

Changing the tires probably didn't have anything to do with the stereo failing. Have you tried the tape player to see if it works? If possible can you pull the stereo out of the dash and give me the complete model number off of it.

A tape does the same as the radio no sound.

If the stereo system in this Lumina is a premuim system it may use an external amp. The no sound problem may be due to the amp failing or the fuse for the amp could be blown. With the non premium system the amps are inside the stereo itself and the amps could be faulty or they may be in a muted condition for some reason.
