Audio Systems: Jensen/audiovox XCH10RF CD changer, 1997 ford taurus, fm modulator

Question
I bought a Jensen/Audiovox XCH10RF CD changer for my wife's 1997 Ford Taurus wagon and I have a couple of installation issues:

1. The FM modulator has only two (selectable) operational frequencies. In my area, both freqs (88.5 and 88.9) have active stations on them. How can I use this system on other freqs?

2. The system also came with a remote control/display head with a 4.5' cable. My problem is that the conrtol attaches to the FM modulator that I have to locate in the left rear adjacent to the OEM receiver. Is ther a cable extension I can get or will I need to slice in a section of cat5e? The connector appears to be a PS2 (PC type) plug.

Answer
Carl,
Unless the radio stations that use the two mentioned frequencies are transmitting at a very high output power, you shouldn't have any problems using either one of the frequencies. As for the remote extension cable, they do make extension cables for them.
