Audio Systems: sony car radio draining car battery, radio cassette player, sony car

I have a small problem with my car radio cassette player.  The on roof ariel snaped off during a car wash so me in my wisdom took it upon myseif to change the part but overtighted the nut and broke the connection of the ariel wire that feeds into the back of the radio i changed the wire and refited but then the car wouldn't start.  It seemed like the battery was drained or dead. The car came fitted as standard with this radio and the car is a fiat secentio s model 2002. Please help i have an intermitent starting problem now.

Without actually seeing and checking the stereo I couldn't say where the problem may be with the battery draining. The problem may be in the stereo itself. Over tightening the connection on the rear of the stereo may have caused a small piece of metal to break off and it is causing a short in the stereo that will drain the battery.
