Audio Systems: Bose/ Clarion 6 CD Changer, nissan pathfinder, bose system

I own a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder with a Bose system but as I have learned the CD changer is a Clarion product.  It won't play the CD's.  It shuffles from one to six, attempts to play them but won't.  What is the best and/or economical sollution?  Bose stated that they will pay up to $300. but I have to go through a dealer.

The CD player is searching for a disc most likely because the laser can't see the disc. The lens in the laser pick up may be dirty or dusty. A good manual cleaning of the lens may fix the problem. If a cleaning doesn't work the laser may be weak or defective.
