Audio Systems: 96 Chev Suburban, chevy dealer, radio clock

Question
My wifes 1996 Chev K10 Suburban just had a new transmission put in it. We just picked it up and now the radio/clock dont work. I checked all the fuses on the left side of the dash, and under the hood. Everything else electrically seems to work fine. Did the radio just die?

Answer
Jim,
If the shop that installed the new transmission disconnected the vehicle battery, this may be the cause of the stereo problem. The stereo may need an access code to reactivate it. You may want to contact your local Chevy dealer and ask the service mngr if the stereo in your vehicle requires an access code. If no code is needed the stereo may have simply failed.
