Audio Systems: speaker, toyota camry, time phil

The left door speaker on my '92 Toyota Camry has started to beat, just like a heart beat, but loud. Sometimes it starts right away when I turn the radio on, and sometimes it waits several minutes. Sometimes it will do it for severl minutes and stop and sometimes it just goes on. When I remove the speaker cover I can see the cone moving in and out to the beat.It's a 6 speaker stero system. Very strange.
Sure would appreciate any help, and thanks for your time.

Phil,
Your stereo system may use an external amp, in many cases the speaker thumping is from faulty capacitors in the amp. A close up internal inspection of the amp may show the leaking capacitors.
