Audio Systems: 1994 Infinity Stereo noise, internal amps, chrysler lhs

Have a 94 Chrysler LHS with stock radio (Infinity 6 speaker). Keeps making a crackling sound over speakers. Checked fuses and noticed a blue wire that has an in-line fuse, and the connector at the end is straight copper piece that stabs into fuse box. Problem is... I don't know where this thing is suppose to go. had the signal switch in steering column replaced, and it came back to me with this wire dangling around. Hate driving without music...Please help!

You may want to ask your dealer or auto service shop take a look at the hanging wire to find out where it should be connected. As for the stereo, if the stereo receives any radio stations but it has static in the speakers, the problem may be with either the internal amps or an external amp if your vehicle has one.
