Hi, My Honda CIVIC SEDAN had a CD player installed on the dash right where the factory Radio is installed. When I bought the car the guy who sold it to me removed his CD player and replaced it with the Factory radio. Now that I have a CD player I want to install I can't remove the dash cover where I could install the CD player replacing the Radio. Could you please advise one how I could remove the cover, I tried a lot to remove it but I nearly broke the cover so I thought I shouldn't be removing it as I might break it. There are no screws, it is only clips. By the way the CD player that I want to install is POINEER CD PLAYER that fits the car.
Thanks for the advise.

Tawfig,
You will need to remove the trim to install the new stereo. You will also need the adapter connector that plugs onto the factory connector in the dash that was plugged into the original stereo. With the adapter connected all you need to do is to connect the pig tail wires from the adapter to the wires for the new stereo according to the lables on the wires. The metal sleeve around the new stereo will hold it into the dash if the new stereo is the same size of the cutout that the factory stereo was installed into.

Thanks Tom, What do you mean by the trim, are you talking about the black trim on the top of the grey dash? Do I have to unscrew anything or is it does it have those clip ons. Could I just remove the Radio or have to completely remove dash/trim to remove it. Thanks for the help again!

Answer
Tawfig,
You may need to remove the plastic piece that holds the factory stereo into the dash. However you may not have to pull out the plastic piece if you can grab hold of the stereo connector and the antenna cable through the hole/cutout. The sleeve can be installed into the existing cut out to hold the new stereo in place. After wiring up the new stereo to the adapter connector as per the instructions that come with it, all you may have to do next is to plug in the antenna cable and then push the new stereo into the sleeve to lock it in place.
