Audio Systems: 2001 Toyota Camry Stereo Not Working, toyota camry, toyota dealer

Question
We recently purchased a 2001 Toyota Camry, when we first purchased it the CD player worked.  A few days later we had to replace the alternator and after that the CD player stopped working properly.  The CD player appears to be a factory installed on, which says, "Toyota" on it.  When we put a CD in the CD player says, "TR" on it.  Do you know what that means?  Then after a minute or so the CD player spits the CD back out.  It never plays it.  I tried using a lens cleaner CD to see if it would clear up the problem, but it didn't work.  Do you have any suggestions for me?

Answer
Collette,
If the battery was disconnected the stereo may be in the anti-theft mode. Look in your owners manual for the vehicle to see if you can find the access code. If you can't find the code you may want to contact your local toyota dealer and ask them for the code.
