Audio Systems: button stuck on faceplate, small screws, bump in the road

Question
I have an RFX 9120 and the button is stuck. I can feel the rubber underneath is jammed and will not pop back out. I think this may also be causing another problem. When I hit a bump in the road, the stations change or it may change into CD mode. I noticed that there are screws on the back of the faceplate. I tried to unscrew them but couldn't get them to pry loose. I didn't want to force it and strip the screw. Please let me know if I should try harder unscrewing it or if perhaps the screws are threaded differently and I need to turn them the opposite direction. Thanks!

Answer
Isaac,
The small screws may have lock tight on the threads. You can try using a small soldering iron to slightly heat the screw heads to help loosen them up. Use caution that you don't heat the screws too much or the plastic may melt. After you have the faceplate apart you may want to use a Qtip with rubbing alcohol only! on it to clean the contacts and pads.
