Audio Systems: speaker, dodge ram quad cab, ram quad cab

I have a 2001 dodge ram quad cab truck with an infinity radio system.  the right side speakers keep going out.  I have had someone tell me that the door speaker with the amplifier needs replacing.  I found out that this speaker was installed upside down and the amp has been wet.  will replacing this speaker be all that i need to do?  thanks

Most likely the problem with the amp is that several capacitors on it are failing. If the speaker works OK some times, the speaker is probably OK. I have also seen that sometimes a speaker will have water damage to the cone and the cone will intermittently stick and you can loose sound from that speaker.
