Audio Systems: 2001Taurus am/fm/cd, factory antenna, antenna connection

Question
The unit comes on, the cd player works, but the radio does not.  The scan just keeps seeking, but never stops. The manual buttons find a station , but no sound.

It sounds like the stereo has a defective antenna connection. You can test the factory antenna by purchasing a cheapo antenna from WalMart and remove the factory antenna plugged into the rear of the stereo and then plug in the test antenna. If you receive stations with the test antenna, you can simply order a new original type from the dealer.
