Audio Systems: Problem with Delco Bose, bose system, bench test

Question
I have a 1990 Camaro with a Delco Bose system. The head unit powers up and appears to work correctly, but I get almost no sound out of the speakers. If I turn the volumn up full, you can just barely hear the radio out of the speakers. I have checked power and ground at the speakers and they are okay. Can you tell me if the most likely cause is speaker/amps or the head unit?
Thanks,
Charlie

Answer
Charlie,
Most likely the amps located at each speaker are defective? The problem may also be that the audio output line level op-amps are muted for some reason. The easy way to know for sure where the problem is would be to have a service shop bench test the stereo. Please contact me by direct email for details.
