Audio Systems: PPI art series amp, art series, soldering iron

Question
I have a PPI art series a200.2 amp that i have had for about 2.5 years, of coures i bought it already used so i have no clue how old it is.  It has always been an incredible amp yet recently the power has been cutting out.  If i go over a bump in my car the amp will cut off or with another bump go back to working normal.  This would lead me to believe that it is not blown and may still see some usefull life.  I have cheked the connections and the only thing that gets the amp to power my subs again is to tap it.  I have not been overworking the amo and have never noticed any over heating and it never just cut out abruptly for no reason, only with jostling.  Any info that you could give me or a schematic that could aid me woud be great.

thanks jeff

Answer
Jeff,
If tapping on the amp and it goes on and off, it tells me that a defective connection is the problem. If you take the amp apart and use an X10 magnifier to go over the complete circuit board (solder side)you may find one or more defective solder connections. A quick touch up on the connections with a 35-40 watt soldering iron should do the trick.
