Audio Systems: I dont know any modle numbers,you..., scolls, clock works

I don't know any modle numbers,you cant see them they are on the bottom of the amp and it is attached, i didnt install the system,, i paid a guy to do it that has a business, i have had the system since febuary of this yr almost a yr and never had a problem till today, i dont know what type of amp, and i know the speakers in the back are diomand.. the amp says power acoustic on the top and it also says pa 800 on it. i was just driving home and it was working and all the sudden the sound just went dead. the clock works and the menu scolls and the stations change the cd player changes all that, but no sound from any speakers, not even like dead air nothing like it is on mute,but it isnt.... i hope this helps, if not let me know i will try to get what i can... thanks mandy

Several possible causes are as follows. The 12 volt supply to the amp has failed, a broken wire for turning on the amp from the head unit, or the amp itself has failed. One other problem may be the the audio output section in the head unit is either in mute, or it has failed.
