Audio Systems: JBL Stereo System, lincoln town car, stereo system

I have an 88 Lincoln Town Car with a JBL Stereo System.  The problem first started with a right side, passenger side, sound going off then it would come back on.  Then the whole system would go off then 5 or 10 minutes it might come back on.  Now no sound coming through the radio at all.  Can you help me?  Can I pull it out and get it fixed?  Is it worth fixing?  When it is fixed will it last?  Thank you.

The problem may be due to defective amps and/or the surrounding parts for the amps. When you say the whole system would go off, do you mean that the power to the head unit would go off? A 1988 Lincoln JBL sound system may be worth repairing if you are planning on keeping the vehicle original! Please contact me direct for more info about having your radio repaired.
