Thanks for your answer.
First I disassembled the whole console to remove the player from its place. Then I removed its upper lid to reach the lens with the dry soft piece of cloth I use to clean my windows. I used no extra products, but my cloth and my fingers.

I bought a Toyota Previa 93 last month. As the cd player didn't work, I decided to unscrumble it (with a huge effort) and clean the lens manually. After I finished, and put everything in order again, for the first time I heard its glorious sound. IT WORKED!! But when I called the rest of my family to show my achievement, it ceased working. ERR3. I insert a cd and the player rejects it 3 times and swallows it again to eventually show ERR3 code. Now the question: do you know what err3 is, or where can I get a code list for this player?
Ps. The player has an anti theft system. Can that be the cause of the faillure?

The ERR3 code is a no tracking code. When you cleaned the lens in the laser pickup how did you clean it and with what did you clean it with? let me know.

You have to use alcohol on a Qtip to clean the lens, if you use anything dry you will scratch the lens! Try cleaning the lens again by the method that I mentioned. Use a X10 magnifier to take a close up look at the lens after cleaning to be sure no lint/dust is left on the lens.
