Audio Systems: No power to stereo, honda del sol, stereo one

Question
Hi,
My car stereo went dead one day and I have some knowledge of doing installs and minor stereo fixes. I checked the wiring harness and the connection back to the stereo and everything was well connected. My next thought was to check another stereo I had laying around and same problem. There was no power coming to the unit. I checked the wiring on that specific harness as well and same thing, everything was well connected. I have a '95 Honda Del Sol. I have also checked all fuses and even replaced some with the spares. Any ideas?

Answer
Rian,
You must have two 12 volt supply lines to your stereo. one 12 volts at all times (yellow wire, memory) and a second 12 volt switched with the key on (red wire, main power). Test the two 12 volt sources at the connector in the rear of the stereo with a test lamp. if you do have both 12 volt feeds, the problem is with the stereo itself.
