Audio Systems: Rear speaker stopped working, plymouth colt, rear speakers

Question
Dear Tom,

I brought my 93 Plymouth colt 1.8 gl to a garage to have wiper motor and lights repaired. To make the story short, when I got back my car, the rear speakers stopped working.

I checked 2 things.

First, I tried connecting my old stereo and the same thing occurs; so it is not the stereo

Second, I had the rear speaker checked and they are not busted.

So, it must be an electric and/or cord problem.
I know that the Colds are well known for electrical problem. The light problem was related to a defective light Relay or something. Dust ("ver de gris") was in the connectors.

thank you for you help Tom

Answer
Mathieu,
You will have to trace the speaker wires from the speakers on back to the stereo. Somewhere in each line there must be a broken connection. You may want to puirchase a repair book for your vehicle to make tracing the speakers wires a little easier.
