Answer
Huey,

ok it sounds like you might have made one of the most common mistakes of a begginer install which is cut the factory harness plug off and wire in straight , this is just how it sounds so if you didnt dont fear because i'm going to give you a description for both .. ok if you did cut the plug you need a wiring diagram / schematic for your specific car that will give you the OEM color codes so you can then match the wires say left front + to the correct wire on the cd players harness, www.streetdreams.com/wires should have a color code for you if not a few mins playing with a search engine should give you a page with the results you need .. now if you didnt cut the plug off , you need a wire harness adapter plug which can be purchased at radio shack , target , wal-mart just about anywhere and it is vehicle specific this will match up color for color or be labled with your new cd players harness so you have no guess work , if you have one of these go back through and re wire and make sure everything is correct and seperated and insulated with electrical tape... now you will have wires left over in most all cases , with either a straight wire in or with the harness , usually 2 or 3 are not used most commonly are illumination, and power antenna .. i hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
