Audio Systems: Infinity OEM amp wiring, 2001 chrysler lhs, center channel speaker

Question
I have a 2001 Chrysler LHS that has an Infinity OEM stereo system with 7 speakers (center, front left woofer and tweeter, front right woofer and tweeter, rear right and left).  My problem is that the center channel speaker, located in the center of the dashboard, makes an awful buzzing noise all the time (I believe it is either blown or the rubber surround has disintegrated).  I have located the factory amplifier, but I need to know which pair of wires goes from the amp to the center channel speaker so that I can disconnect them (I have no intention of replacing the speaker, just want it turned off).  All the other speakers sound great except the center.  Thanks - Joe

Answer
Joe,
All you need to do if you want to disconnect the speaker is to pull out the speaker and pull the wires off of it. The problem with the noise most likely isn't the speaker, but rather the amp module that powers the speaker. I don't have a book for this vehicle so I can't tell you what wires go to the speaker from the amp.
