Audio Systems: 97 Chevy Blazer stereo wont play CD, chevy blazer, factory stereo

I own a 97 chevy blazer with a factory stereo in it. Last night the CD player stopped working. When I insert a CD it doesn't read anything and then says error. I checked most of my CD's but none worked.  The car did sit for 2 weeks without being driven. Will blowing air in the opening maybe clean it out? I tried using a laser cleaner but I think the CD player isn't spinning any disk so that did not give me any results. Any advise? Thanks so much!!

You may need to have the laser lense cleaned manually. If any dust, dirt or smoke is on the lense, a cleaner will not work because the laser needs to see the disc before it will spin to clean the lense!
