Audio Systems: 95 Maxima - Bose, nissan maxima, amp circuit

I have a 95 nissan maxima with the upgrade Bose system. I am tired of the lack of antiskip on the cd player, so my first step is to replace the receiver. my left front speaker has begun buzzing (a knowledgeable friend said something might be wrong with the woofer), and I want to replace both front speakers. a best buy sales guy said I should replace speakers all around, but I don't have enough money right now. basically, (1) what is the speaker problem? (2) where are the crossovers? (3) what is required to replace receiver and fronts

Eric,
The most likely problem with the noise from the speaker, may be that a few capacitors are leaky on the amp circuit boards inside the speaker assemblies. If you could pull the factory stereo out of the dash and give me the complete model number, I can tell you more about what kind and where the amps are located.
