Audio Systems: Power Acoustik AMP/SUBS, ohm voice coils, power acoustik amp

Question
I recently got a Power Acoustik A2400DB amp and two 12" Power Acoustik MOFO subs, the amp has a 2400watt maximun output, at 1ohm 1800watt, at 2ohm 1400watt and at 4ohm 900watt and its a mono amp. The subs have dual 2 ohm voice coils, i wish to rum them both at 1ohm on this amp, so i just hook up both subs into the 1 channel on the amp? and will this amp be able to power these subs enough to make it worth while? the subs are a 2400watt max and a RMS of 1200watts each, i beleave they will be getting at 1 ohm 900 watts each.  Well sorry for such a long question but this is the first time i done this, well thanks alot Tom, hope to hear from you soon

p.s. if you wanna see more specs on what i have to help anwser anything there is poweracoustik.com has detailed info

Answer
Jon,
You can hook up the speakers(subs) by connecting the voice coils of each sub together + to + and - to - and then you can try connecting the speakers in series to hook up across the mono output. With this set up you will have a 2 ohm load on the amp. You could also series the voice coils in each sub and then connect the subs in parallel across the amp for a 2 ohm load also.
