Audio Systems: sterio problem, stereo head unit, solder connection

I have a 97 honda accord with a factory tape player and a honda cd changer in the trunk.  The problem I'm having is when I shift from listening to the radio to a cd from the cd changer my left channel goes all fuzzy and is extremely quiet, then if I switch back to the radio my left channel comes back and is clear.  another thing is I only have this problem some of the time other times it might work so its intermitent. any suggestions on what to do.  thanks

It's possible that a bad connection is the cause of the problem. Double check the plugs to/from the CD changer unit. The problem may also be due to a defective solder connection inside the changer unit where the audio is sent out to the stereo head unit.
