Audio Systems: No sound from radio, 2000 ford zx2, premium sound system

Question
I own a 2000 Ford ZX2 with the Ford Premium Sound system. Recently the interior was flooded during a heavy rain. Standing water covered the under seat amp. Now I get no sound at all from the radio (or CD changer). The radio display and tuner still seem to function. Could the water have zapped the amp? Would a dead amp account for the no-sound condition?

Answer
Scott,

OHH YEAH , i'd say you will have to junk pretty much everything that got wet, maybe even the wires because after some use they will corode on the inside .. but for a check go to your fuse block and pull each and every fuse out one at a time and check for any blows CHECK ALL FUSES not just radio related ones ... if they shorted there is a chance it just kicked a fuse... but i would almost bet that you will need to swap out all the compoenents that got wet .. sorry about that .. but if you need anything else let me know

thanks
