Audio Systems: car radio, 2003 chevy trailblazer, power distribution system

Question
I own a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer with a factory installed AM/FM/CD player. The other day I was driving down the road listening to a CD that I burned on my computer. On the fourth song the radio shut off completely as if the battery had been dissconected. It came on about 3 seconds later, the clock read 12:00 just like when the battery is hooked up, and the radio read error. I cannot turn the radio on or off, eject the cd that's in there or reset the time. Please help! Thanks

Answer
Pat,
Some kind of power failure to your stereo has occured. possibly due to a faulty connection in the power distribution system? Your stereo may be an anti theft type unit that requires you to enter an access code to make the stereo work again. Look over your owners manual to see if your stereo is an anti theft unit and follow the instructions in the manual. If your stereo isn't the anti theft type, it may be that your stereo needs to be serviced. Contact your dealer to ask if any warranty coverage is in effect for the stereo.
