Audio Systems: installing a tv into my car, radio area, radio shack

Question
I want to install a LCD DVD player in my car, the one that goes in the radio area in the dash and the screen pops out. i was wondering, is it just like installing a cd player in to a car or is it different? well it have a harness i haft to connect to the harness in my car?

 the indash style units use the same or similar adapter that a cd unit would, you will need to buy the adapter from radio shack ect.. and wire into the new units harness so everything can plug up and be neatly tucked back ... hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know
