UK Car Repair: Diesal engine, peugeot 205, glow plugs

the car started OK we went to the garage and filled up with diesal the car would not start  it turns over ok but does not seem to fire at all ?

Car make -L reg Peugeot 205 junior 1800 diesal
60000 miles on the clock full service history

Check the glow plugs, see if they are working.  If they do and you still can't get it to roll over you need to look at fuel delivery. Have the fuel filters replaced and the pump checked for pressure. There are two pumps in this car. A feed pump and an injection pump. Try that and if that doesn't seem to help have the diesel drained out and refill it from a different station. The car could have picked up a fuel filter blockage from algae growing in the diesel at the service station. Diesel has oxygen in it and therefore can grow things, like fungi. Do all that in order and check back if one or the other doesn't take care of the problem.
