Audio Systems: 2002 old bravada bose radio, worm drive, wait problem

radio play fine. but when i want to use cd player it will not work .i pushed cd button it said wait to load, it neaver said to load now it does not respond when i push any cd functions .thanking you in advance

Any number of problems can cause no load/play. A dirty laser lense is the most common cause of no play. As for the wait problem. I find on many CD units that dust/dirt has built up on the worm drive assembly causing the laser to not move fast enough to the start/home position. When this happens the CD unit will shut down and will not take any commands. lastly, a defective sensor can cause the lock up problem.
