Audio Systems: JENSEN CD8004 MODEL CD5050, fuse boxes, fuse one

Question
I RECENTLY RECIEVED A JENSEN CD8004 MODEL CD5050. I HAVE WIRED IT AS CALLS FOR IN WIRING DIAGRAM ON UNIT. BUT I HAVE YET TO RECIEVE ANY DISPLAY, SOUND ANYTHING. WHEN I REMOVED THE FACE PLATE I FOUND THE RESET BUTTON. WHEN I PRESSED IT, THE UNIT MADE A SOUND AS IF IT WERE EJECTING/LOADING A CD. ANY TIPS, HINTS, OR IDEAS AS TO WHAT TO TRY TO GET THIS WORKING?

Answer
Joe,

double check your wiring and go to your fuse block and pull each fuse one at a time and check for blows check ALL fuses not just radio related ones , also check the fuse on the back of the unit and any inline fuses or fuse boxes on the units harness .. now if still get nothing do a hard wire which means unwire the power, ground and 12volt ignition/accessory/turn on wires , then run a led wire directly from your battery to the 2 12volt wires then a led wire to a good body / frame ground .. to see if the unit powers up .. if no then take it back or junk it .. if yes .. relook your wiring ... hope this helps you out if you need anything else let me know

thanks
