Audio Systems: JENSEN CAR CD PLAYER, detachable face plate, car cd player

I HAVE RECIEVED A JENSEN CD8004 MODEL CD5050 HIGH POWER 30W X 2 + 10W X 2 CAR CD PLAYER. ITS GETTING PLENTY OF POWER, BUT IM GETTING NO DISPLAY, SOUND OR ANYTHING. ALSO I NOTICED BEHIND THE FACEPLATE A RESET  BUTTON. WHEN I HIT THIS THE CD SOUNDS AS IF ITS FEEDING/EJECTING A CD. BUT STILL NO DISPLAY. ANY HELP TO GETTING THIS WORKING GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Pressing the reset button will cycle the CD unit and reset all the processors. Make sure that both of the 12volt supply lines are hot. red=switched from the key and yellow=hot at all time for station memory. On many of the jensen CD units I find defective solder connections on the connector for both power/speaker inputs/outputs and on the connector for the ribbon cable that connects the display to the main board. On the units with a detachable face plate, the defective connections may be on the contacts soldered to the front of the main board.
